About Me

I’m a Lecturer of English  at the University of Texas at Arlington with research interests in children’s literature and gender/sexuality. I’m currently working on a project about LGBTQ+ children’s literature that’s under contract with the University Press of Mississippi. I’m also co-editing an OER Introduction to LGBTQ+ Studies textbook.

My five-year old son initially inspired me to research children’s literature and I couldn’t have a better reading partner. He loves that his mom is a book blogger and always has new books to share with him!
